I've been a full time working woman for 2 weeks now. It's at scientist position at a medical device company that manufactures blood glucose monitors for home and lab use, and urine and blood analyzers for lab use. So far it is going very well. I have a lot to learn, as the med device industry is new to me, my last position was in pharma. It's interesting and the people I work with are really nice. The commute is fantastic, under 10 minutes.
Things on the home front are going well. Mark switched to his overnight shift, so he is home during the day with Henry. He has to deal with the occasional lack of sleep, but is handling it well. The kids are not noticing much of a difference, just that Mom has to get ready in the morning, and Dad is home more.
I no longer suffer from the occasional insomnia because the I am usually very tired as bedtime comes around. I do miss my afternoon "quiet time" with Henry, I used to snooze on the couch while he watched Power Rangers. I am enjoying my time away from home and find that I am excited to see the kids upon returning. Not that I didn't enjoy them before, I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder though. I am finding that I have more energy. You'd think that I'd just crash on the weekends, but I am finding my self raring to go on Saturday and Sunday mornings, just used to being busy. This last year of being at home I had gotten myself into a very lazy lifestyle. I was bored. When I'm bored, I get lazy. So now that I'm not bored, I'm not lazy. That's a nice change. That's all for now.

Okay, so it's been a few months....
I'm just kind of putting something here, to put something here. Don't expect much.
We've been busy. Busy being sick (the kids mostly, although there was a point in which every person in the house was on antibiotics for strep), busy getting a new job (Mark got promoted to Sergeant and will now be working nights in the 3rd precinct), and busy looking for a job (that's me, and with being out of the workforce for 8 yrs, that is quite a tall task, hey does anyone want to hire me??? Leave me a comment).
I took some pictures at Easter, maybe I'll post some tomorrow. That's all for now.

Charlie's 1st Swim Meet
He got first place in the 100 Freestyle!
He's pretty proud of himself. He has told me that he wants to swim in as many meets as possible.
Hello, my name is Henry.....
and I play soccer now, on a REAL soccer team.
It is super fun and I smile pretty much the whole way through.
I'm really good at kicking.
My brothers made signs that say "Go Thunder" (that's our team name), and they cheer for me.
We spend a lot of time running.
My coach is really nice.
Here I am about to score.
In this picture it looks like the goalie caught it, but it actually dribbled right past his fingers and I scored.
Playing soccer makes me really thirsty.
After the game we shake hands.
This here is a little dance I do while I'm playing goalie.
It has a couple of moves to it.
The BEST part about being on a soccer team is the snack after the game.
The End.

Care to guess what's been going on at our house lately?
Yeah, Lice. It's disgusting and exhausting. It's been going around Charlie and George's classes this year, we seem to get a notice that someone has it every other week. I've been checking them for months. Now it's our turn I guess. In three short days I have gone from Lice Dummy to Lice Expert. After exhaustive nit picking through their longish hair, we had them all buzzed. It's way easier to check them and the lice are less likely to want to hang out on their head should they get exposed again. Having all boys does have it's perks. Mark doesn't have it but he was so grossed out by it all that he got buzzed too. Charlie somehow avoided it as well, I only found it on Henry and George. The really super gross thing about all of this is that.....
THEY GAVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of George's favorite things to do is go into my bathroom, use my brush, and smile at himself in my mirror. I will be locking my brushes up with a key from now on!! EW, EW, double EW!!! I will not be having my head shaved, so I'm the only one who has to go through the meticulous checking everyday. Leave one nit behind and you can get it again, so I am freaking out. I wish I could check my own head. I have to trust Mark, who is doing the best he can, but I'm just not sure he is being as meticulous as I want him to be. I've had a couple of friends come over to come out my hair (Katie and Heidi THANK YOU), but still, it's not me.
So that's what we've been up to the last few days.

The Picture Parade.
This is from xmas day, at my brother's.
After we ate, the kids started dancing to a 90s music CD that Ken had gotten for xmas.
This is from Stokes Years Eve.
George lost his front tooth, finally. This is a storied tooth because the baby tooth that was there was a chipped tooth, and it was all my fault. I have been waiting for this baby to fall out for 5 years. Now I no longer have to look at my sweet boy and remember how I ruined his smile 5 years ago. You can read about it here.
The Dells was fun. Lots of water. Our room was great, a 2 bedroom condo with a kitchen. I brought my camera and did not take any pictures.
I know, I'm still being a bad blogger. I have to say, I'm in a rut. I just don't feel like it. I would say that applies to other things in my life as well: eating well, working out, getting stuff done. I just don't feel like it. I did get a new vacuum the other day, that was fun. It sucks really well, as compared to my old vacuum which did not suck well, that really sucked.
I'm so funny.
Just stop reading now, I'll stop typing. Don't worry about me, I'm fine, I'm just in a rut.

Merry Christmas!
We are well. We said goodbye to Maggie 1 week ago. She's with a nice family in Rochester with three girls. It's been pretty easy to slip back into our old lifestyle, since she was only here for 2 1/2 weeks, but when we think about her we are a little sad. Mark and I surprised the boys with a trip to the Dells today, we leave tomorrow. We are hoping that this will be the Christmas in which we surprised the boys with a trip to Wilderness, not the Christmas where we had to give our dog back.
